[EN-UK] Surround Safety Footwear Downloadable item
Combining 360⁰ breathability with durable waterproofness. An innovative sole construction enables a new level of breathability for GORE-TEX safety footwear.
This was also confirmed by 27 electrical workers at ASSEMBLIN, a leading Swedish installation and service company, after having taken part in a 13-week wear trial. Between August and November 2018 they wore the One SURROUND® GTX low-cut safety shoe by SOLID GEAR 4 to 5 days a week for between 6 and 9 hours a day. The shoes were worn indoors and outdoors, while carrying out electrical installation work on the construction sites of industrial and residential buildings, doing routine maintenance for utility companies, installing mobile antennas on rooftops, and other such activities.
Improved heat and moisture transfer through the sole, particularly in warm environments .
When you took off your shoes, they were way drier than usual.
Fit, no problem with foot sweat.
PERCEPTION OF TEMPERATURE
81% of the participants said that the temperature inside the shoes was “pleasant” (when worn indoors and sitting in vehicles, also outdoors at temperatures between 10°C and 25°C).
In comparison, only 41% of the participants could say the same about the safety shoes they had worn in the past.
BREATHABILITY
26 of the 27 participants (96%) were very satisfied with the breathability of the test shoes, saying that it was “good” or even “very good”.
85% of the participants said that they actually found the breathability of the test shoes “just as good” or even “much better” than their previous safety shoes, the majority of which had not had a membrane.
SWEATING
54% of the participants said they perceived “no sweating” or only “mild” sweating in the test shoes.
All of the participants said that in the GORE-TEX test shoes they had even “sweat less” than in their old safety shoes.
RE-DRY
The large majority of the participants (96%) said that they were very satisfied with the speed at which the test shoes dried.
Over half of the participants said that they actually found the re-dry properties of the test shoes “slightly better” or even “much better” than those of their previously worn safety shoes.
RECOMMENDATION RATE
96% of the participants would recommend safety shoe ONE SURROUND® by Solid Gear.
The wearer trial was conducted by Gore in partnership with Munich market research agency HYVE.
