Arc rated GORE-TEX PYRAD® garments stay light-weight and comfortable when wet or dry. They are durably waterproof and reliably protect electrical utility workers against the thermal hazards of an electric arc. They are the perfect choice for long working days with changing weather conditions.
Arc Rated
The GORE-TEX PYRAD fabric blocks convective heat flow on arc exposure. It stops flame propagation by forming a carbonaceous char with the fabric while maintaining its physical integrity for reduced heat transfer to the skin.
Lightweight
These garments are up to 45% lighter than competitive garments; they feel significantly less bluky and offer higher freedom of movement. More comfort leads to increased wearer acceptance and thus to increase safety.
Waterproof
Arc rated GORE-TEX PYRAD® garments are durably waterproof as protection against rain and wind is key to preventing wear-ers from getting wet and cold. Their high breathability helps to avoid moisture building up from inside.
Stretch
Arc rated GORE-TEX PYRAD® garments are also available in a stretch fabric for an increased comfort. Electrical workers can easily bend, kneel, climb, and stretch without any restriction of movement.
