Explore the High-level Protective Benefits of This Technology Application
Tested and proven arc protection cat 4: ATPV ≥ 40 cal/cm²
Comfortable during high-intensity activities
Consistent thermal protection in cold & windy conditions
Increased ease of motion
Keeps workers dry during short exposure to light rain
Electrical utility linemen and E&I workers the power supply industry are often exposed to the risk of life-threatening arc flash in their daily work - and sometimes in extreme weather conditions. The new PYRAD® WINDSTOPPER® Technology by GORE-TEX LABS combines the lightest weight CAT 4 arc flash protection and high breathability with consistent thermal protection in cold and windy conditions or moderate rain.
HOW IT WORKS
The new arc rated PYRAD® WINDSTOPPER® technology by GORE-TEX labs is based on a 3-layer laminate in a single ply. It blocks heat flow during arc exposure and stops flame propagation by forming a carbonaceous char with the fabric, so that heat transfer to skin is reduced.
Ideal For
Electrical utility linemen and industrial workers who look for a light weight garment which reliably protects them against arc flash as well as incidental heat & flame exposure, and keeps them consistently warm in windy & cold conditions without being bulky.
